STAQ Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 25, 2026

STAQ is a workout tracking app and website (staq.fit). Nottage Digital ("we", "us") runs STAQ and is responsible for your data. Questions? Email support@staq.fit.

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address and password hash. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture.
  • Sign-in sessions: IP address and device type.
  • Training data: the workouts, exercises, routines, plans, goals and notes you log or import.
  • AI input: what you say, type, paste or upload for AI features.
  • Subscription: plan, status and dates, never payment details.
  • Feedback: your message, account ID, app version and phone model.
  • Waitlist: email address, browser type and a hashed IP address.
  • Usage and diagnostics: app usage events and crash reports.

The app uses only the microphone, for voice entry.

Why we use it

We use this data to run STAQ for you, keep it secure and improve it. Under EU and UK law, our legal bases are contract, legitimate interests and legal duties.

AI processing

STAQ sends your voice, text and uploaded notes to an AI provider to turn them into logged workouts. We do not keep voice recordings. We keep AI request records, including Live Entry text, for 90 days. Without an account, Instant Analysis stores your IP address for a day to apply a daily limit.

Analytics and crash reports

An analytics service receives usage events from the app and our servers, with your device type, app version, approximate location from your IP address and, once signed in, your account ID. A crash reporting service receives error reports, which can include the same details and content you submitted. staq.fit sets only a sign-in cookie, no analytics or advertising cookies.

Linked AI apps

You can link an AI app, such as ChatGPT or Claude. A consent screen lists what it can read: your units, goal, workout history and a training summary. It cannot change your data. Disconnect it any time on staq.fit; its own privacy policy then applies.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We share it only with providers that run STAQ for us: hosting and infrastructure, email, AI processing, analytics and crash reports, subscription management, app updates and team chat for feedback. Apple and Google take payments under their own terms; a subscription management service receives your account ID and purchase records to confirm your subscription. We can give you the full list of providers on request.

Providers can process data in the United States and other countries. We can also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect people or STAQ, or to a new owner if STAQ is sold. Public routines and plans are visible to other users.

How long we keep data

  • Account and training data: until you delete your account.
  • AI request records: 90 days.
  • Daily limit IP addresses: one day.
  • Sign-in and password reset codes: 10 minutes.
  • Feedback: in our inbox and team chat.
  • Server logs: a limited time.
  • Analytics, crash reports and purchase records: the services' own settings.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Delete Account. Type DELETE and confirm. This permanently removes your account and training data at once, but does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your store settings. Analytics, crash reports, purchase records, feedback, logs and short-lived backups can remain. If you cannot use the app, email support@staq.fit from your account's email address and we will delete it, and on request the remaining data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can access, correct, export, delete or restrict your personal data, and object to some uses. Email support@staq.fit to do so, or complain to your data protection authority.

Security

Data travels to and from STAQ over encrypted connections and we store passwords as hashes, but no system is fully secure.

Children

STAQ is not for children under 13. If a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date above and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
